What is happening in 6th Grade?

Important Information
Wow! Time is going by so fast and we have about five full weeks of school to finish everything up.

(Advanced Reading)

For the next two weeks we will focus on stories from Shakespeare that are written at a 6th grade level. When we complete that unit we will begin readers theater and practice those for two weeks and perform them in front of the younger grades. 

Math Block

(Accelerated 6th Grade Math)
We have been reviewing for the past three weeks and the students had three days of math testing for the AIMS.  We will return to the Saxxon book and continue working through each lesson.  We will have a unit test after we complete ten lessons.  

Science
We will focus on Physical Science topics for the remainder of the school year.
  
Language Arts
We will use this time to work on the book Chains that everyone has read.  We will have several small projects throughout the next couple of weeks and end it with a larger project TBA.
